Meet Marie Retana
Marie Retana co-founded Retanaco Accounting & Consulting alongside her husband Victor with the vision of building a firm that goes beyond traditional bookkeeping and transactional accounting.
While raising a family and building the business together, Marie helped create the operational foundation, reporting structure, and client support systems that continue to drive Retanaco today.
Her background in public accounting, combined with years of hands-on experience supporting growing businesses, helped shape the firm’s focus on organization, accountability, and financial clarity. Marie plays a leading role in overseeing accounting operations, client coordination, and financial reporting support across the firm.
Known for bringing structure to disorganized financial environments, her work often involves helping businesses improve consistency, organization, and operational accountability. Her experience includes work with firms such as PwC, CBIZ, and CliftonLarsonAllen supporting businesses across multiple industries and operational environments.
Meet Victor Retana
Victor Retana co-founded Retanaco Accounting & Consulting with the belief that accounting should support operations—not operate separately from them.
With a background in civil engineering, construction environments, and operational finance, Victor developed a practical approach centered around visibility, accountability, organization, and real-world business execution.
Over the years, he became known for helping businesses organize financial operations, improve reporting structure, strengthen workflows, implement accountability systems, and create financial infrastructure capable of supporting growth.
Because of his construction and operational background, Retanaco is able to work directly alongside project-based and field-service businesses without the steep learning curve many accounting firms face.
